LS remote start install DIY

No need for a factory remote start, this unit adds this capability using your factory key fob by interfacing with your vehicle's computer to start the vehicle. Easy to install and works great. Read this entire thread for more details. The original DBALL interface no longer supports the 3x lock remote start so make sure you get the DBALL2pro which still supports this feature.

I dunno how that happened but I'll flash 1 this week an try it out..
But dei did a full update on the xpresskit.com site and directechs.com. to a point where everyone had to reapply for dealer status to even log in. So I'm dumbfounded. . Hopefully u found a loophole

OK, I installed the Dball2 just today in my 2007 LS 460 and it works exactly like slimjimtel said it would. I did get it from the guy he mentioned in this post-Toby Broadfield because after I initially ordered the Dball2 and the XKLoader2, I came back to the post to read more about it and found out that they no longer flash them. I sent the XKLoader2 back and since I had not yet received the Dball2, i canceled the order and got it from Toby. 70 bucks and I didn't need to spend the extra money for the XKLoader3 to flash it myself (if that's even possible, judging by what I have found while researching this). The only wire I didn't connect is the red/black for z6 connector because for the life of me I could not find it. (if someone could post a picture of the actual connector location that would be awesome) Otherwise, it starts and runs (programmed for 5 min-optional to 15 I think) just without the parking lights.
I'm very happy, I spent 700+ on the RS for my GS350 AWD, granted that was covered under warranty and was also able to keep her running (takeover feature). But for $70, it's very simple and will keep my GF warm this winter in Chicago.
Thank you Slimjimtel and thank you Toby Broadfield
