I was looking at that car because of the price and I could pay cash. I was considering it because my friend has an 07 LS and he was constantly talking about it, so I assumed that I could easily get a good 400k out of it.

Every vehicle is different. You can't assume because one person got something out of their car that you can too. Depends on an infinite number of variables. How well was the vehicle maintained, how well was this particular model manufactured, how was it driven, temperatures it spent its life, etc, etc... While Lexus reliability is well known, I would rather spend a little more and get a lot less miles.

It had a timing chain, so the wp never got replaced.
How much was the charge (either customer paid or warranty paid) to replace your water pump at the dealer?
timing chain engines doesn't mean water pump is driven by that. I replaced my timing chain driven toyota/scion xA engine water pump at 106,000 miles by myself. It is A LOT easier than timing belt+water pump. It is driven by the serpentine belt, which is super easy to unhook to get to the water pump.

2006 1NZ-FE 1.5 liter, metal water pump rotor, it's better than the factory plastic ones 2000 jetta uses LOL, talk about defective water pump, that thing will shatter and good luck retrieving the pieces
