Default Early Ls460s how are they holding up?

First ones are almost ten years old now. Just curious are they still just as reliable as the really old ones from the 90s?

Based on my 08's service history from the dealer, (I just purchased it in January), I anticipate no issues. The only problem was warped rotors which I believe I've corrected with aftermarket Bendix rotors. I expect a rock solid reliability with my car. BUT HEY.....this is a guy who traded in his BMW 745i, so my LS could drop a tranny, throw a piston rod and fry it's electronics and I'd be ecstatic still. THAT car was less reliable than my '74 Triumph TR6. LOL.

My LS currently has 111,000 kms (about 70k miles).

Mine is an 07 460L and couldn't be any happier. The only major problem I had with mine was the brake actuator and booster which was replaced other than that I am satisfy with mine but now I'm thinking about getting a 2013. I have owned a 2004 ls430 and 2002 ls430, great automobile by the way and had no problem with them. I currently still have the 2002 ls430 with 17x,xxx miles and it is still smooth as ever. My 2007 have 12x,xxx miles on the odo.

Just purchased my 2007, and have no doubts about its ability. Only has 53k on it, but no issues with the previous owner.

I took delivery on my 2007 on July 2, 2007. I have 75,000 miles and never a problem.

Which was exactly why I bought the car.

On my way to test drive (and buy) my 2011 LS in December, I called my brother, who has an '07. I asked him if he regrets buying it: "absolutely not, best car I have ever owned." Have you had any trouble with it: "none, other than replacing the ML amplifier." And he is a really picky person - complains about everything. I don't know his mileage, but I would guess about 85K.

BTW, he had two MBs in the past, including an "S" model. "Never again."

For me, not too good although you could argue that it is mostly small stuff but Lexus being Lexus not cheap to repair. Mine is a '07 LS460L with around 60k miles.

1) Lumbar mechanism doesn't seem to last, had it replaced around 20k. Forbade wife to change the setting.
2) Folding mirrors don't fold anymore around 30k miles.
3) Rear air shocks replaced at around 50k, the right side twice
4) Trunk latch mechanism failed around 55k
5) Hard drive starting to crap out, now only working when it is warm outside or car is warmed up, just waiting for it to die completely.

Ive had my 2007 LS460L for a few months. Got it with 72k. I have 76k now. I drive a lot for work. It looks like the previous owner took great care of it, but even the dealer said it has no issues. The 06 Tahoe I traded in made it to 183,000 with minimal issues (4wd electrical mostly). I hope to pass this with no problems.

I know my miles aren't much, (19,750~), but my car is still 7 years old!

I've had a window motor replaced under warranty, and am having some suspension noise (seems minor), and shifting is a little too jerky for me, (might need to top up tranny with new fluid), which I will have addressed at my 20K oil change, and the wind noise issue.

very minor, but i'm **** about detail

I purchased my 08 with 40k miles on it. Has about 64k miles now. So far I had to replace my upper and lower control arms, get my wheel replaced because of corrosion, glove compartment replaced, seat warmer **** replaced. I'm probably going to sell it when my warranty is over. I've taken it in for warranty work one too many times. Although nothing major, its still takes a good amount of time out of my day.

'06 with 185.000 KM. Except some minor repairs and replaced 4 x air suspension sensors, the car is trouble-free.

Seems like so far lexus got the 460 right then, just like the 400 and 430. I've driven about 15 examples of early 460s at my dealership that come in as trade ins. All of them feel just as solid as the brand new ones. Even one that came in that was **** fugly, beat to crap, full of trash, filthy dirty, and only had one oil change in 70,000 miles still drove good. The car was totally let go of and whoever owned it absolutely obliterated it and it was still fine.
