I hear you...on 22 now also. I wouldn't change it, but if I ever was crazy enough to get a 2nd set it would be 21". If you go 21"- yes, tire brand choices and sizes are limited. However, you would have access to some jdm wheels that only go up to 21" (certain Work models). Still could go with the custom/made-to-order stuff (VIP mod, etc.), but I think maybe no 21" applications in brands like Vossen, etc.

A 20" wheel with no lip and spokes that go to the wheel edge will look bigger than a 20" lipped wheel..if dropped it will look bigger in my opinion

20 inches would be perfect for the daily commute. With the air suspension on mine the ride quality from stock to 22's would be minimal the ride will still be better than nearly any car on the road. The only concern for long commutes and 22 inches you will run through tires twice as fast at least compared to stock, and since you most likely will want to go stagged you can't rotate your tires to maximize tread life. Also thinner tires on 22's are easy to bend with so little sidewall and the more time you spend on the road the higher the chance you can hit a pot hole which can do some damage.

Take that as consideration but not ride quality especially if you have the air suspension. If anything the tires you select will make the most difference too.

I do not have air.

As for the tires, if I go with the Conti's on a staggered setup I can at least rotate side to side.

I had the DWS's on my GS350 (19") and I was very happy with them.

Thanks for all your feedback CL, I think I know what direction to go in. Will post up pics once they are mounted.

Are you planning on lowering your car? If yes, I'd suggest a set of 21 inch or 22 inch wheels. If you do not plan on lowering your car then I'd go with 20's.

We've had this discussion before and this is why I went with 20's in a staggered configuration. It's my daily driver doing significant miles and don't want the jarring ride. 20's are a nice compromise.

What's your stagger? What wheel and tire sizes are you running all around?
