Night time is great, but as i was advised earlier it should be the darkest i go.

my friend has a 35% on the windshield of his RX350 and at that point it becomes dangerous at night.

My brother is considering a 50-70% clear/blue on his GS350 windshield. . .

Default Can't see into my car from the front! :D

As you all know, my car has 15% all over, but only 50% on the windshield. In these photos, you can see in both regular and overcast skies that the angle of the windshield and the reflective nature of any tint even 50% in this case makes it almost impossible to see in!

Wow, this is an example I needed to see. I have 15% on the sides and 35% with a 15% overlay for the rear(will redo it with 35% and 5% overlay). I was debating between 50% or 70% for the windshield, this is perfect. I'm afraid it might look a bit darker in contrast because of the black on black interior. I need to see this exact set-up in person.

But man, I really want a Silver LS460 LWB as my second car bad.

For the last 5+ years and 120,000miles I had 12% sides and rear. 30% front windshield.

Backing up with no street lights requires to put front windows down.

Driving at night with no street lights is fine.

Turning left with windows up makes you guess where the curb is.

During the day you can see if people sit inside of the car and can see everything through the windshield from the outside.

I don't have any pics but I have 43% all the way around. I would have gone to 50% but 43% was the darkest my installer had. I prefer the lightly tinted look to the blacked out look...and I know I'm in the minority.

I prefer some privacy but not too dark.
My previous IS was 35% F and 25 % R.
My G37 sedan was 50% F and 35% R - OB with back interior.
Leaving the LS as is - factory tint - front is very light and rear is probably 50% (maybe 70%)
I honestly don't know how much.

Are you saying the factory glass is tinted already?

Yes..usually it's only about 94 to 96%...meaning if you put 35% tint on top, it nets out to about 29 to 31% (light allowed in) when you test with a meter. Most states have an allowance +/- the legal limit to factor that in

My tint was installed on delivery of the car to its first owner in 2008, and it's starting to turn just a bit purple. Not horrible yet, but noticeable. I haven't measured it with a light meter but I'd guess it's 50% front 35% rear. That's as dark as I want it. Thinking I'll have it stripped and replaced with something new around the same level, once I get around to it.

I've test driven a few cars with 15% on the front and couldn't stand it. I don't know how you all put up with the lack of visibility.

The visibility is not bad once you get used to them. I will add a 50% tint layer on top of my 15% all around.
