Default Another Newbie to CL

Been Lurking here for awhile and thinking I should get an LS....
Stopped off at the dealer yesterday and bought an 08' LS 460L.. Smoky granite Mica
The test drive was all that it took. Love the feel of the luxury car. They are doing some touch up work on it so might be ready on Saturday..

Plans are to pick up the car Saturday, New wheels and tires (22") next week.
Looking at tint, data controller, Remote start, I pod control, Paint correction with a protective polish coating, Clear bra, and a few little things and we are good to go..
I will need help with all of this stuff as I am new to this... Not new to cars just new to this one.

Scott

A few Pics of how she sits now..

Ouch, gotta stay on top of that to keep it clean. Seems like most sgmica's have that interior color
I also wanted the sgmica originally but couldn't find one without that interior color, so I "settled" for the silver w/ blk interior

Congrats and welcome! Sounds like some fun coming your way with the mods and car care. A lot of help to tackle some of your mods can be found here.

Question...
1. Do I need anything special for the wheels?
I see mention on here of hubcentric... What is this?

2. Any tire recommendations?

3. Advise on a reputable shop in South bay area / San Jose

Another newbie question... So has anyone lowered their car mechanically with custom sensor arms rather than using Coils, springs or a module?

Please look at the wheel and tire sticky thread at the top of the forum which has alot of data you need for wheel fitment.
Hubcentric means they are essentially made specifically for our 60.1mm hubs of our cars. Majority of wheels are non hubcentric and come with hub centric rings to simulate hubcentric so the wheel centers on the hub to avoid vibration. For more info on that, I would use Google and search on "what are hubcentric rings"

The car is home and I have spent the last 24 hours reading the manual..

This car is simply amazing..
On the drive home I stopped off at the tire and wheel shop...
After an hour and a half of staring at wheels the wallet came out and the deposit was made.
2 to 3 weeks for the wheels. Pics to come

Ordered new floor mats on Thursday and they were at the door Saturday morning.

In the mean time I plan to get the tint done and paint the calipers.. Ordered the Lexus caliper decals last night..

The lowering module should be here this week.
