i guess that's what you get for being patient and waiting for the price to come down.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

I just received my tail lights and when unpacking the box, I noticed a very small piece (1/2") of the lens broken off and still attached to the cling wrap protecting it. It's in the bottom right corner of the drivers side light. I hope Spec D Tuning will cover a replacement and in the meantime, I'll glue it in place.

I will enclose a pic when I can.

Just got off the phone with CarID. They say that it's a damage claim (UPS shipping) and that I can return the lights to them and start a claim. This presents all kinds of issues. For one, I'm in Canada and would have to return to the US to ship them back. Plus, I have already installed them. I offered to purchase new ones and then ship just the one damaged unit back to them, but I risk having my claim rejected and stuck with an extra set of lights and 350 dollars out of my pocket plus duties.

I guess I'm stuck with gluing the repair and living with it.

Man that sucks. On a positive note I got the tails today. No cracks, thank God. Anyways did you seal the lights? Looks as if you were to put gasket seal it would make more of a mess, due to where the lens meets the back.

Mine came in broke in the corner like that too. Emailed carID and they took it back and sent me another set w/o any problem. But the fitment suck. Big *** gap on the right side without any broken tab

Man I seriously hate that for both of you guys.

Roadfrog, since it seems that you decided to keep the light with the broken corner, how does it look and how has it held up? Do you have a gap as well?

HONDACBR:
Would you be able to post any photos of what your speaking of...??

Pictures??

It's barely noticeable and is not leaking. The epoxy I used appears to be holding nicely and It's been a few months now with plenty of rain, car washes, etc. Very happy with them. No gaps anywhere either.

Aren't the OEMs brighter than these? I assume these are for the looks?

I find the LEDS far brighter EXCEPT for the turn signals. Probably because they aren't amber, but red. Doesn't stand out as much as amber. Parking lights and brake lights are VERY bright on the LED's.
