Default Painted Calipers - Flame Suit On.

Ok...at the risk of being flamed and ridiculed, I'm posting pics of my freshly painted calipers.

Seriously though, I am not so sensitive as to be insulted by your honesty. Let me know what you think!

I went with red, because I find that the color looks best behind black wheels. I used Duplicolor Caliper Paint (brush on) for the job and have used it in the past with good results.

Next up is to wait for the paint to cure and then apply the Lexus decals to the calipers. The decals are white. I'll submit pics when they're applied.

The only thing I did differently with the paint kit was to get a few pain brushes from the paint store, as the one supplied is a joke and sheds bristles in short order.

Yes, but as I recall, there wasn't a lot of love for the red. LOL.

I honestly think that whole setup belongs on a mustang, just my opinion though.

I agree, it does look like a Mustang or Camaro, just waiting to see it launch off the line!

I didnt really care for the red myself, but my rim guy sprayed my on his own, but it I've grown to like it. The stickers will really set them off once you put them on.

I think the wheels make a huge difference, definitely a make or break thing on this car.

I'm going to paint mine silver to match my car. I think that will look great. I'll probably use a black or graphite colored Lexus decal.....

Ebay. Just search "Lexus caliper decal"

I paid about 8 bucks for the set with free shipping.

Look in the FAQ sticky (Top of the LS460 forum) under Brakes and you will see the link for decals.

I think the red is bit too bright.

It's just the standard Duplicor red and same color as G2 caliper red.

After a few weeks of winter driving, it won't be bright for long!
