Default Looking for some advice on potential ls600h

Hi everyone,
I'm seriously considering the purchase of either a 2008 or 2009 LS600h.

For those familiar with these model years is one any better than the other?

The 2008 model is pretty basic with 48000 miles with a clean carfax, full set of records etc... Asking 40,000 canadian

The 2009 has 90000 miles with radar cruise, dvd , LEXUS ECP Warranty until 180,000KM's or June 04 2015 Asking 42,000 canadian.

Both of the above are from Lexus dealerships.

There is a 3rd at a private smaller used car dealer 2009, 14,000 miles base model asking 47,000 canadian.

Recommendations??

thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply, I was mistaken about the CPO (looking at way too many cars) it has the LEXUS ECP Warranty until 180,000KM's or June 04 2015.

If the 2009 LS is a 2010 model go for the newer generation. You can easy identify a 2010 model as she has a different grille.
The first gen LSh has e.g. no Lane Keep Assist.

I thought all the LS600Lh's came with radar cc and a DVD player. What does the '09 have that the '08 doesn't? On the surface, the '08 seems like a better deal to me, but I don't know all the details of both cars.

09 has slightly bigger trunk and i believe the front passenger memory buttons vs the 2008, but other than that there is no difference I am aware of.

2010 is a major change particularly with the different and unique instrument cluster. Then you have the minor change like all 2010s with different grill, fogs, tails, LKA/BSM availability, personal settings options in the NAV menu vs techstream requirement. The instrument panel on that 2010 600 is amazing!

In Canada for 2008 there were two levels of LS600 cars: base and loaded. There were no options.

The loaded cars had leather on the upper dash and on top of the doors, radar cruise with the advanced pre-collision system, power door closers, rear seat entertainment with the fold down DVD, rear door sunshades, 4 zone climate control, heated and reclining rear seats and that big executive seating package with the audio\video controls and massage function and recliner on one side. This was in line with the US cars.

The base model cars had the standard LS460 dash and door trim (no leather on top of doors or dash), no radar cruise, no rear door sunshades, no power door closers and no rear seat entertainment system or audio and climate controls. You did get the reclining and heated/cooled rear seats but lost the 4 zone climate control feature. This was very different to the 'base' US cars as a lot of content was removed here.

With the Canadian ECP package you should check the fine print as it probably does not cover the electronics, nav unit, speakers, etc.

Interesting. Most of the 600s I looked at were pretty much fully loaded and the only option was really exec seating package or not. Mine doesn't have rear seat massagers or advanced PCS with the led array on the steering column to detect eye movement, but other than that I have everything else. It is interesting to hear how these cars are equipped in non US markets

I didn't know that 600's could come in a base version, I've always thought they came loaded with like 1 or 2 options

Actually 3 levels according to info I dug up from a Toyota link.
Base
Premium - rear dvd etc
Executive - radar cruise, shiatsu massage seating in rear passenger.

If anyone is interested I could look it up again.

Ok, here is where I'm at...
Test drove the 09 with 90000miles. Absolutely immaculate. I'm at $33,000 because of me making a big deal with the sales manager about the mileage.

The warranty covers everything except radio/nav.

From what I can tell from kbb/nada this is a decent price.

Experience with my 98 ls400 with 189000miles and non issues of concern tells me to do it... still not sure tho.... :/

go with the less miles bro I mean by no means will there be anything to expect but for the the piece of mind I say get the lesser miles all the wheeling and dealing in the world will compensate for the mileage.
