Default About to be a new owner. Question.

I have been looking for a 460 for a few weeks now. I think I have narrowed it down to a couple. I just wanted to get some opinions on the below two. First is a 2010 with 23k on her. Loaded except no sport or ML, I like to do my own stereo upgrades. It is Grey on light Grey with the 18 inch chrome wheels. Great condition and price is $40998. The second is a 2009 CPO with 55k on her. Silver on light Gray. Also showroom condition. Same exact options and priced at $36,500. Only difference is the wheels are not as nice. The first is from Carmax and the second from my local Lexus dealership. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Cue my new tag line.

Let's see if you can get your post count up a bit.

Both are priced too high.

Test drive them both and see which one you like best. A car is worth what you are willing to pay for it. I love mine.

Well I have been searching within 200 miles of Nashville and these prices aren't bad for this area unless you buy from a whole seller which I won't do. The cars are a rarity for some reason. They sell fast as well.

Just based on your brief description I would probably go with the 2009. The main reason is the CPO. You might check Edmunds, KBB and NADA to get an idea if those prices are fair. And of course it doesn't hurt to make a lower offer.

Thanks for the feedback. The 09 actually started at $39,900 which is insane and I have got them down to $36,500 plus an extra $500 for my trade in. On Edmunds they say the car sells for an average of $37200 with those options and CPO. But I sure do like the 2010. I am test driving another 2010 today that is loaded non sport with 46k miles for $40999 but the Lexus dealership gives a lifetime power train warranty which is huge in my mind. A bit over priced but maybe worth the warranty. It is white on black. I have never had a white care but it has the 19 inch wheels which I like. I just need to find something soon because my Hyundai
Genesis depreciates every second.

Hammer,

Why are you getting rid of the Genesis?

Also, as another data point, I just bought a 2008 LS CPO for $31k with 36k miles.

I may have missed it, but how many miles do you drive a year? That played a part when I was deciding between two of them.

The Genesis has had many small issues, not engine wise, that are just bothersome. ***** coming off, leather coming off the seat which has yet to be fixed but the main reason is my service has been awful. I have literally had to drive to my dealership to make a service appt. They don't answer phones and don't call back. They don't loan cars etc. Just bad all around. I have had Lexus in the past and the service spoiled me. I drive about 25-30k miles every year so a lifetime power train is worth some change for me. I bought the star fire on black today. Got them down to 40k and they are taking a pinstripe off and adding the front paint protection. Car is in showroom condition. Not a nick at all. Can't wait to grab it Thursday.

Congrats!

So did you get a different car from either of the two in your opening post?

I did. Just looked at the one I bought today for the first time. It was the same price as the Grey from Carmax after I got them down 3k but is CPO and lifetime power train. Has 45k mikes but looks brand new. It also has the 19 inch 5 spoke wheels which I like better. Look forward to some subtle mods. Thanks! Look forward to the forum.
