Default Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology Tires

Finally had my Continental DWS tires wear out so I switched to the Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology Tires. I use 235/50 R18 size. WOW! Great tires! Super solid grip in dry AND wet. 70k miles warranty and dreamy smooth and quiet ride. No drift to the right either. Just thought others might want to consider these tires when needing new ones.

For those who accept other dimensions there is something new with 9 db!!!! less: ContiSilent:

9 db is huge -8 times less noise- and especially made for Audi A8, RS6 (285/30 ZR21) and RS7 (275/30 ZR21). Of course summer tires only.

Made to hear the engine sound and not the tires. Smooth and sexy, that is something special.

The cat crept in, haha

+1

I bought a set of these in January to replace my Pirelli P Zero Nero. I loved the Pirelli's because they were so good in rain, but the latest tests by Tire Rack and Consumer Reports downgraded them from first to third place. Perhaps they changed the tread design or tire composition, I don't know. So I decided to go with these which were a new tire for Continental.

I have to say I am very pleased with them so far (about 15,000 miles). The wet grip is not quite as good as the Pirellis, but they are much quieter. The wear rate also seems better, but time will tell. I never had the drift issue with the Pirellis and I don't with these tires either.

Ditto on the Continental Pure Contact 235 50 18's, I've always been hooked on Michelins and really wanted mxm4's for obvious reasons but at almost $300 savings plus rebate from tire Rack I took a chance and couldn't be happier. Quiet with good traction lets just see how long they last..
