Default 2010 LS460's Reliability?

Hi, guys! Im looking at buying a 2010 LS460 for my uncle, had a few questions. How reliable are? Being that they are the first year of the updated look, one would expect some issues.

I know the 07-09 are very good solid. But looking at the history report it shows it has been in the dealership for electrical work more then several times. Any common problems with the 10-up?

Check the Consumer Reports ratings for the 2010 Lexus LS 460 which includes a good sample of current owners. It has extremely high ratings, even higher than other model year LS 460's. There are always one-off cars from any model year that show more problems than others from the same model year.

Default 2010 ls 460

Mine has just under 30K miles on it. No problem at all. I did need to replace the OEM tires at 22K. I would buy another one today.

Ya, I put an offer on the vehicle today. Turns out the vehicle history made it sound terrible. After speaking to the service adviser he explain the repair in detail.

So what did he say about the electrical service to make you feel better?

Actually there were 4 concerns I had with the history report.

1. Front Suspension: Previous owner complained of popping sound in the suspension. The dealer replaced the front Shock absorber, and spring cushioners. I still suspect possibly the front control arms.

2: Electrical: Turned out to have had the battery replaced.

3: No Crank: Turned out to be another battery issue

4: Engine: This one had me suspicious, thinking engine was replaced. But it was related to the no crank and all because of a dead battery.

My 2 cents:
#1-suspension noises are not uncommon but having a strut replaced is in your favor

#2 - several of us had our batteries replaced way ahead of normal schedule for whatever reason..not uncommon

#3 - experienced this but related to #2 during same time frame. New battery solved all issues

#4 - those codes are often more hype than truth. For instance, a headlight replacement showed up as "Front End Body"

These items would not concern me to be honest

I would be concerned and stay away if there are very low miles on the LS. Seems like a lot of issues for a flagship car still under warranty.

How many miles are on it?

Very true, I work for Toyota and often when warranty claims are done they come back with something like "engine" That can be anything ranging from an o2 sensor to a faulty air filter...
