Default 2010 LS 460 navi system changed

On 9/30/13 my navigation system changed on my 2010 LS460. Suddenly I have 'dots' showing the roads I have traveled along whether I am using the navigation system or not. Also, when I input an address and it gives me 3 options (Quick, Alternate etc) the 3 options are greyed out and it will only go to 'Quick'. Was there some kind of upgrade? I have to have the dealer do the upgrade and I did this last on 1/17/12. It is version 11.1.

the dot is that you turned on the tracking option in the menu. you can turn it off, it's in the manual

maybe that will fix your 2nd problem too

Chatted online with Lexus rep last night who was very helpful and made the following changes today. Dots are 'route track' - page 99 of Navigation Manual (hadn't seen this screen before). 3 choices for Edit Route - page 93 of manual. Options are not shown if car is traveling (not the case) so turned off all selections (Freeways Tolls etc) and 3 choices came back. So things are 'normal' again. Still no idea what happened. However, does that make 4 or 5 different screens to set options for Navi system?

seems like that's still not enough to prevent you from accidentally triggering it?

that's not a common option, i know most people don't use route track, in fact i think i have only used once ever. so don't see problem having it in a "3rd level" menu
