Anyone LS460 owners have any issues with the volume button in the car??
I have noticed twice now over the last few days that my volume button on the stereo stops working for a couple of seconds. I twist it back and fourth with no response and they after a second or two it will start responding. Anyone else having this issue?? Is there an easy fix??
I tried to push the power button in firmly to see if it was not sitting in the right place and it seems pretty secure to me. I know when I mention it to my SA he will say they cant reproduce the issue

Whats funny is I did a google search and it turns out I posted with the same issue with my GS back in 2010 and it turned out that a few other members is AZ were familiar with issue from the heat. My car sits in an open parking lot in AZ all day long. Im going to park it next to a tree to see if it helps but I doubt it. In the end I have a warranty but the issue , as always, is just getting the tech to reproduce it. I guess I can have them just park it outside and then try it.

I will bring it up to the SA but I hope they will be able to reproduce the issue. I tried parking the car under a tree today but I shouldnt have to.

From what I can find from the internet and realizing I had the same issue with my GS is that it's the heat. I havent take my car in yet but it stopped malfunctioning once I put up a window visor to block the heat as well as parking so that the sun is only coming in through the rear glass. It worked like a charm so far. In AZ you can imagine how hot the interior is when you get in and the ambient temp is close to 120 degrees

120 degress wooo...reminds me of Afghanistan. Unfortunately for me, mine is always in the garage. I'll just try to find a custom audio shop, because I am waaay out of warranty

The weird thing is that once the temperature drops the button starts working again. I have been successful in getting the system to work normally by parking under a tree and in a way that allows the rear to get more direct exposure

Just a recap on the thread; I have noticed when its 90+ degrees outside with a heat index of 105 and my car is sitting out in an open lot for majority of the day then my volume **** is unresponsive, however once i turn on the a/c and the car interior cools a bit then its back to normal. Im guessing that the car's interior temp has to do with the **** functioning properly ( not sure or have any technical data stating this but this is what i have observed on a few ocassions)

Just curious, does this happen to the volume **** on radio as well as steering wheel volume control? I noticed that happened to mine one day and it was Gab Union HOT outside that day for sure!!
