Just curious on what cars people went through before ending up with the LS they have now?

My first car was

1)1991 Toyota MR2 automatic (sold it to get a manual)
2) 1991 Toyota MR2 5 speed (ended up giving it to my mom)
3) 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo (some mods and babied it. Sold it to a kid who totaled it in 2 weeks)
4) 1995 Toyota Previa Supercharged (drove this sucker till the wheels came off. well in my case until the rear differential broke off and the car decided to beat itself with it)
5) 1993 Honda Del Sol (my everyday commuter. It gets 38mpg and has 260K miles)
6) 2007 LS460 (Wald, bags, etc... I feel like a big boss in this car )

Was that Toyota Supra the one with the twin turbos or the one big turbo? I know the one with the one big turbo was an extremely fast car. You couldn't hurt them either. Those cars were bullet proof.....

It was stock turbos and dynoed 400hp at the wheels. I had a new T04r single turbo kit ready to put on but sold the car before I could put it on. It really was a great over engineered car with a bulletproof engine and 6 speed tranny. I bought it in 1999 when they were cheap to buy ($25k with 25k miles)!

I just turned Medicare eligible last year so I'm 66.

My first car Olds, was when I was 17 in 1964. it was my aunt's car. My cost was to pay for a brake job and the title was transferred to me. It had tube radio, with an inverter that you had to hit occasionally to get it to work.

The most unique was the 1950 Pontiac Hearse. It was a straight 8 with manual transmission. We used it to haul standup string bass to coffee shop gigs in 1968.

-1988 Yugo (engine exploded) (RIPieces literally) 1990 timeframe when i first got license..folks hand me down

-1992 Mitsubishi Precis Hatch (aka Hyundai Excel) somehow drove into a 4ft flooded road during major rainstorm and interviewed on local news FTL (RIP), HS senior..had some tint and chrome Prime Hammer wheels

-1993 Mercury Tracer (traded for next car in list) 1993 College Bound..tint and some Prime Tri Star Chrome wheels..14x7..couldn't tell me nothin

-1997 Honda Accord (Sold) 1998 while In the military. .had several wheel styles ultimately ended up with 19x8 Zenetti 5 Chrome wheels

-2003 Acura TL Type S Navi (Sold) 2003 and first time I had a car brochure from dealer in my cubicle dreaming of buying this $30k beast..

-1992 Honda Accord EX (160 mile per day commuter to relieve wear and tear on the TL) (sold) 2004 timeframe..kept Acura parked to make the 80 mile one way drive to work..had custom cadillac thick leather seating and bought it for $3k with 110k miles and sold it in 2006 after ECU issues at $185k miles for $2900 lol..

-2007 Lexus LS460 (Sold) 2010 My first major big body car..drove accross town just for groceries so I could enjoy driving the flagship..it had all the buttons a SWB could have lol..yall know. Still sitting in a cubicle..cubemates kinda salty about the come up

-2008 Lexus LS600hL (Current) 2012 timeframe.. Got bored with not having a LWB and not enough buttons..so sold the 460 and now I have the flagship of the flagship and couldn't be happier. .it has lots of buttons lol. No more cubicles..now I have a brochure of a 2013 LS600hL hanging on my whiteboard in my office..with a lockable door
