I recently purchased my 2007 LS460 and noticed that the rear passenger door seems to have an issue opening. You have to pull HARDER to open it as if the inside rubber molding / weatherstripping is getting stuck.

This also prevents the suction slow close feature to work when i Don't shut the door completely.

The car has never been in any accidents nor has it been repainted to my knowledge or from the looks of things.

Anyone know what this can potentially be? Or any solutions for such a problem?

Sounds like either the molding is not seated properly, or the door is sprung. Rather than a Lexus dealer, I would take it to a competent auto body shop. They are used to dealing with that kind of problem.

also check the hinges.. i have had tons of issues with the 07 hinges... at this point i have swapped all 4 door hinges at a cost of about 80 per door unpainted plus labor to install.. (fyi back door are super easy to swap)
