What is the dealer cost of 60K mile service and what does it include? thanks in advance

Includes oil change, Air Filter change (two) and Cabin Air Filter change. Inspect everything else.
That'll be hundreds of dollars please.
Take your LS to a Toyota dealer for the oil change and free inspections. $70.00

should include spark plugs too. hard to DIY on the LS and dealer charges a small fortune

I want to provide an update, 60k service is around $1300 includes spark plug replacements and whole list of small items.

I now feel MB is not expensive choice, as you go to dealer only at 10K mile intervals and also I remember spark plugs replacement was at 75K or 100K miles, where as Lexus service at 5K intervals and spark plugs at 60K miles.

Everytime you go there is a recommended "list" and you cannot ignore.

Also my Akebono break pad installation at neighborhood service station is a total fiasco, so redoing with OEM at dealer another $1200. Cannot stand that growling sound...

Anyhow, car is in the shop, I will update later with results.

I was told for almost $1,100 for the 60K service, which included a bunch of things that are NOT referenced in the manual for my 2007.

I'll find the list and scan it, but basically it covered a bunch of inspections, but the things that caught my eye were:

Spark Plug Change, Battery Terminal Service, Throttle body cleaning and fuel injector cleaner additive, remote transmitter battery, and a few other line items, nickel and dime you right up to 1084 and change. I mentioned to the service writer as I held my maintenance booklet and he said that the 60K really called for filters and inspections, and said the free "World Class" inspection covered most of the items I needed inspected anyway.

I think mine was like $650-$700 with a service coupon they had going. I am surprised to hear about the $1200-$1300, but then again its an flagship vehicle with a v8

I was quoted $749 two months ago when I was in for an oil change.

It appears to me that the only "real work", beyond the usual oil change, is the requirement to change the spark plugs. I am wondering what a good independent would/could/should charge just to do that?

My 2008 cost was $660 and didn't include plugs. Oil change and every fileter changed.

937Michael, a few questions: 1. What exactly did they do for $660 if they didn't do the plugs? 2. Why would you spend biggish bucks on a 60K service and omit the one REAL item necessary (other than the usual oil change etc)?

And again I ask, what is a reasonable cost to have a non-high-markup dealer...or a good independent...do just the spark plug change? Can a Toyota dealer do this? Is our engine similar to anything on any of their vehicles (like their trucks, maybe)...I don't want them doing it if it's totally foreign.

I'm going to attempt this myself in the next month. Looks the the passenger side requires quite a bit of stuff to remove.
