Default Yet another tire question, Pirelli P Zero Nero

I am starting to really research for replacement tires, stock 235/50-18. Yes, I have used the search function and read most of the threads on tires. Here are my conclusions from reading all the helpful posts:

Most of you like Michelins, although the Pilot Sport A/S Sport may cause right side drift. The Pilot HX MXM4 is not highly rated on Tire Rack, so that leaves the Energy Saver A/S as the only Michelin choice.

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity is another favorite, although it is a grand touring tire and is one of the heavier tires.

The Continental ExtremeContact DWS is highly rated, but also may cause right side drift on our LS.

So...that leaves the less popular (in our LS community) Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season as my possible choice, besides Michelin Energy Saver A/S and Bridgestone Turanza Serenity.

If anyone has experience with the Pirelli, please chime in. I know it's not as quiet as the other tires, but how does it perform? Does it cause any right side drift?

Also any opinions on the other tires listed would be helpful. Thanks to all for any input.

I had the P Zero Neros on my VW GTI (they were the original tires). They're OK, but mine became very noisy after 20K miles. For some reason, this seems to be an issue with these tires. I put on Birdgestone Potenza Pole Positon all-seasons and have been very happy with them. Night and day difference in ride quality, road noise, handling, etc.

FWIW, a friend of mine needed new tires and was doing research on Tire Rack. He was told that Bridgestone and Michelin do the most R&D on their tires. IMHO, you can't go wrong with either Michelin or Bridgestone.

I just bought a '07 CPO LS460 and it had the stock 18's with Pirelli P Zero Neros. They were good tires for the time I had them. I just bought the 5-spoke OEM 19's and got Yokohama ADVAN S.4's and they are nice. No change at all in how they perform or sound from the road. I recommend both.

I also have Pirelli P Zero tires my OEM wheels and I don't have any problems with them being loud, but I only have about 5,000 miles on them.

Default ls tires

I have the Michelin HX MXM4 in Z profile, W speed rated, and they track perfectly and have no other issues. My previous Lexus had the Pilot Sport and no issues. I do not know how come people have this right drift problem. I also have a new 4runner and have the Michelin LT MS2's and no problems with them. I travel country roads, states highways, and the Interstate system.

Any suggestions on a summer tire for better handling. I live in So. Cal and will not take the LS into any snow.

I have 26K on my P Zero Neros. Absolutely no drift. I bought them because both Tire Rack and Consumer Reports had them top rated on wet roads, and that was the most important factor for me. I can say that assessment was spot on. I've had other so called wet handling tires (e.g. Goodyear Aquatred) on my Q45a and they didn't hold wet roads like these tires. They are probably a bit noisier than other tires, but then I always have something playing on the ML system so I don't really notice.

The tires will probably go to at least 30K which is a little less than some other tires were rated. However, these only cost me $131 on Tire Rack and most others were $200+. I will most likely replace them with the same, but I will check out the Contis.

I have P Zero Neros on my 22" Vossen and they came defective. The tread moves left and right and creates vibration. I will never ever buy Pirellis again. I am a Michelin man for now on.
