what's the ethanol content in fuel over there. I"m going to guess that it's none. either way, high ethanol and/or other contaminants can cause rust in the fuel system and ridiculous problems with the fuel system

Thank you all for your feedback and your help. Changing the fuel injector plus pump solved the problem.

Thanks for your post..
The professionals told me that the starter motor is defected and they have to replace it.
What do you think fellows: are they right?
Because I am afraid that they have to dismantle alot of parts to reach the motor and that's regardless the high cost of doing that!!!

Shall I let them do that? Or shall I let them do as posted in#19?!!
Plz help me out ..

If the symptoms are same - it is probably the fuel pump. I agree with Lextrician.. the fuel pump is probably not holding pressure. No need to change the injectors - because if injectors were bad - you will notice engine struggle even during idling and driving.

On the battery drain issue - I had this type of problem 20 years ago with a 1995 lexus LS 400. At that time, I isolated it to a remote start, which was draining current.
You should check the drain current under standby conditions. - make sure everything is off. Remove negative terminal and put an ohm meter (a cheap multi meter should be fine) in series. If I remember correctly - after 20 years, the idle current in that car was about 30 milli amps.. Not sure of the number.. and that car did not have the electronics modern cars do. The dealer should know how to check idle current and what standard idle current should be.. and he has to try and trace it backwards.. with his computer..

Default LS 460L Intermittent starting

I have a 2013 LS 460L. I purchased it on January 2014 and have the same problem. Occasionally it will take about 6 times to start the car. I took it to a dealer once but they couldn't duplicate the problem. Most of the times, I'll say about 98% of the time the car starts normally. Very frustrating.

Hello, I am also experiencing some intermittent troubles with starting my 07 LS 460. After the car sat for an afternoon, I tried to start it and everything was dead. The next day I charged the battery and everything was fine. I assumed a light had been left on. Now it takes more than one try to start the vehicle. I checked the battery, and it is holding its charge at a steady 13 amps. I’m in GA, so cold is not the problem. I’m wondering if the start switch is going bad. Also, I remember the green light being illuminated while driving, but now there’s nothing. Any idea what the problem might be?

I took my 2013 LS 460L to a Lexus dealer but unfortunately they couldn't figure it out since the problem is intermittent. I left it in another mechanics' shop for about a week until he duplicated the starting problem. He told me the problem was a bad sensor. The problem went away for about 3 months but it's been coming back occasionally though not quite often; may be once a month or so. Very frustrating when it happens.

The fuel injectors have already been cleaned and the battery changed twice (end of June 2012 and on the first week of August 2012). I left on vacation and the car was in my garage for 30 days and when I returned the battery was totally drained. It didn’t make any sense that a new battery that has been just installed in June 2012 drains that quickly. I took it again to the dealer and the battery was changed again (warranty) on the first week of August 2012. The dealer maintenance engineer tells me that they have checked the car for any electrical issues but couldn’t find any.

I am totally puzzled and hopefully the TSB helps.
what's was the fix I have a 2010 ls460 after having the valley valley plate resealed this hard starting issue started it's been to the lexus dealership twice they can't figure out what's wrong it's not producing a check engine light

Since you are short on things to consider, it causes me to wonder about your starting technique.
