FINALLY THE LS IS BACK ON THE RSR LIST ( not that i haven't done a ton of them since they pulled it off)

bored at the shop today i decided to do some minor upgrades to my car.. and checking the wiring diagrams i came across the updated info.. (bcuz it wasnt there on monday).. as the info states now it covers 07-13 LS460 & 08-13 LS600... now i havent done a 13 yet and the wiring diagram only shows the 12... but it maybe the same cpu set up...if anyone wants to be my 13' test subject lemme know...

its perfect timing as remote start season is in full swing.. (i spoke to a family member last night who wants one put on his tundra so instead of a labor charge he's flying me to dallas in the near future) so any CL members in texas i maybe in your area soon...... PM me if ur serious....

Old thread, but I just purchased my DBALL2 from ebay will keep you guy's posted on the install sometime this week. Will be upgrading to the 5902 during the summer months with the smart start

Here's a bit of NEW (old) info for you. ..the DBALL2PRO is truly an allin1 solution for adding alarm and or remote start..thats just about UNIVERSAL!!!!! it can do analog cars ie:Is250/350, Ls430 etc...as well as can bus cars like the Ls460/600...for most newer (smart key cars) no fob is needed..but older cars u can add a fob... u can also add the new PROXIMITY system to it to give an old car a much needed update... i have been to training on this and it seems pretty hot. But as its truly universal it will be awhile b4 all the vehicle solutions are available. . here's a quick video....

Is this something as easy to install as the previous DBALL I installed several months ago? What does it offer over the previous?

Unfortunately its not quite as easy as the RSR for our 460's.... but what it is... is a combo solution alarm and bypass module in one housing... I believe the rsr for our 460's should be a similar install... but this unit would offer upgrade options.. like shock sensor, tilt sensor, siren outputs. .. all that a normal alarm would.. in a unit a lil larger than a dball.... for someone looking only to add rsr on a 460 the dball is still your cheapest option.. but if you're looking to add wheels or mods... the dball2pro is a much cheaper solution to add as you go... type of install.... but the good thing is... for example the older ls430 doesn't have prox key.... isnt rsr compatible. . With this unit u can add remote start (bcuz it comes with the relay pack for heavy gauge analog power like a normal remote start alarm) an the transponder bypass is already built into the unit.. now if u want proximity just add either the smart key mod or the prox sensor unit.. walk, up to your 430 and boom it unlocks..... walk away an boom it locks... an like with a normal alarm u can add any additional sensors u want.... its a nice all in 1 piece... I'm told this is the way DEI is heading. . One unit to do it all..... just need this piece an whatever accessories u want...

this just in...as of tomorrow OCT 1 2014.....RSR 3X lock start will be NO LONGER AVAILABLE for the dball..it will now come ONLY on the DEI 4x10(4210V) and 5x10(5210V)... which cost about $100 or more(a quick fleabay search shows $150+)

Small update to all those with dball/2 rsr (& close enough) i can now (once a waiver is signed & a fee(t.b.d.) to deal with headache of actually doin it) give you the takeover option.. DONT ASK ME TO TELL U HOW I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEFT OR DAMAGE.. So "IF" do it for you.. i must do the work.. so 1st i know its done right.. 2nd so i know I'm not going to be sued for the possible theft or loss of an 80k vehicle... that said anyone interested pm me for more details..

Looks cool but honestly, I could never depend on my phone to always have a charge. At least with the keyfob, there is a physical key and passive nfc. However, if they figured out a way to have takeover (remote start, hop in, and drive off) in this new system I would consider it just for that feature.
