It sounds like you were trying to convince yourself on something that you really never wanted to do in the first place.
oh so you are the baller on the forum with the 24" wheels. Your car is amazing by the way. Great taste in wheels and kudos for having the ***** to go for it.

Have been on the fence. My last two cars were dropped aggressively ( especially the GS350). So to say been there done that is an understatement. I have had 7 years of 11-15k tire replacements plus all of the repeated visits to the shops for rebalances and flipping the tires so I have grown a bit tired ( and I think the shops are tired of my repeated return visits as well). Initially I held off because my car was having vibration issues. Then after driving the car at stock height for so long so the techs could evaluate the car stock, it just seemed to make more sense to me. The trade off in my eyes doesnt seem worth it if the tire wear will be much greater than the already painful stuff I was used to with my last two cars. Also in the eyes of most the LS doesnt look as bad as many other Lexus sedans at stock height and big wheels. I have two kids now and a busy practice. I am looking to simplify my life. I miss the look but I dont miss the visits to the shops

heres are some pics of my GS and G35

This August, it will be a year on my 22"s dropped with tanabe, running nexen tires and I am still on my first set of tires after 14K miles. I think I can get at least another 6-10k miles on it. My front tires are in better shape then my rears. For those who only get 5-10k on front tires, I am not sure what you are doing...

I drive my LS like there is no tomorrow. right now I have over 100400 miles and still counting.

right on bro. A ray of hope. I think the member who is only getting 5k is slammed. In fact I think he is on air now

Just don't go camber in the back. I already flipped my backs and i'm planning on getting new tires already cause the tread is almost out. I only had my tires for 5 months. =[

LMAO!!!! Haha..nope, VOSSENS with tires are on vacation in my garage waiting to start their new job soon. After about 7k miles my rear 295/25/22 tires are about 8/32 across the tread and my front 245/30/22 are 8/32 inner tread, outer is about 10/32. The fronts have about 5k miles.. had to downsize from 265/30.

New car may require a new 255/30 up front to handle additional weight
:heehee

I wish you the best in your search . I think the 255/30 will look far better when dropped. Its going to fill the wheel wells a bit better. I have also noticed that my CV1 look like the fill the fender a bit better than the VVS08s I had because they arent lipped with the face pushed in. I am loving these CV1s

Yeah, i don't have a choice but to go to 255 for the fronts...the car I plan on getting weighs about 600 lbs more than my old LS
