Default Taking delivery of my 2008 LS600hL....

Hi Guys,

My Black/Black 29k mile LS600hL is scheduled for delivery this week. The dealer wants to make sure I have all the manuals, books, tools, first aid kit, headphones, keys, jacks, spares, remotes, etc..

I would like to double check him.

On a five passenger 2008 LS600hL, what items where provided when the vehicle was new?

Thanks to a great board.

Murph

PS - Just a note for those of you shopping or following numbers. This non CPO (warranty expired) perfectly maintained and absolutely mint Obsidian costs us $53.700. The sticker was $116k.

Thats awesome. I have been trolling around looking at used LS's since mine is supposed to sell today. There are two black on black 600s CPO for $55K in IL and VA. They are veterans on the lot so I'm sure somebody can steal those for a great price. One also popped up yesterday at South: Dade (Miami) Toyota..black on black all options except Exec Pkg for $48k

I just bought a similar car, one owner/same mileage for a little less than that but it still has the original warranty through October so I can buy an extended warranty through Lexus. The LS600's came with a card key and key fob as well as the headphones but other than that I don't think anything else is special. I actually don't like the card key. I love this car. The only issue I had with mine is the dealer (non-Lexus) put on brand new Pirelli performance summer tires. They were very expensive tires but I need all season tires. Of course I didn't notice until a week later. I called them up and they gave me a check for $500 so I took what I could.

Assuming you haven't put too many miles on the new Pirellis, Discount Tire will take them toward a trade in for tires of your choice. I run the Pirelli PZero Nero All Seasons.

That's awesome! I've only ever seen an LS600h for sale once and it was a lot more expensive than that. It seems like you got a great deal.

I originally just looked locally and only saw one. I can't afford one at the moment, but I would love to have one someday.

Just wondering what type of MPG are you getting on the LS600? I can get 28MPG on highway on LS460 SWB. Sometime I drive from South Florida to Montreal during the summer thus just wondering if it gets 500 miles on one tank?

Typically, the 600s win the MPG game with city driving but folks have reported similar hwy mileage as the 460 on the hwy with their 600s...which is great!

All 600s I have seen have basically every option minus exec seating..trust me on this because I am on the hunt! If you are cruising in NYC with stop and go, the 600 should outperform the 460 in MPGs...2008 loaded 600s are ranging $48k to $59k based on my hourly scans on car websites lol

They must have been really old because they don't know what they are talking about. The 600h gets about the same gas mileage on the highway and city as the 460, maybe a little better. For the most part what the older couple told you is opposite of what is really true. On the highway hybrids typically run off of the gas engine so efficiency isn't as great compared to city driving where the car is running off the electric engine. However, for the 600h it is supposed to be a performance hybrid not really an efficient hybrid. It is supposed to get the gas mileage of a V8 with V12 performance although V12 performance isn't all that true since it is much heavier. It does shine though when you are cruising and floor it, that is when you really feel the instant torque of the car vs. the 460.

What is strange is that the pricing is all over the place, there are some 08's over $60k. There is a one owner black one at Lindsay Lexus in VA with decent mileage, 41k miles, for a good starting price and it is CPO so it has the 3yr/100k warranty. The warranty alone is worth $2,500 through one of the dealers mentioned here for warranties so I think the price is right and it looks similar to your old car.
