Official 2013 Lexus LS460/460L/600hL & F-Sport thread

Pole Position
Wow. I've always considered the LS too staid and grandfatherly for me (then again I've found all the cars in the full luxury class : A8,7 series, S-Class etc too large and unwieldly) but the new LS F-Sport is making me reconsider.
The LS in F-Sport guise would be the first LS I've actually found desirable.

Awefully quiet here. Anything new this past week about the 2013 LS?
Also, is it possible to preorder sooner then Nov (so that delivery can happen before year's end)? In the past, what did Lexus do with new models and preorder timing? Anyone know?
Katherine

I would also like to know about pre-ordering, sooner than November.

The way I am handling it is by a deposit process.
If you want a 13 LS, but you are not hung up on exact equipment, then the deposit gives you first rights to the cars as they arrive at the dealership.
If you want a special built car, you will probably have to wait till November.
Hope that helps.

I got a strange call from my sales rep's "assistant" today asking me if I was interested in the 2012 or 2013 LS?!? I was like, huh??? What are you talking about? I am on the list for a 2013 already.
So she hemmed and haw'ed and took my email and said they are sending me info on the 2013 next week. Does this mean there is some info coming into the dealerships now?
I am going to call my actual rep tomorrow and find out a little more if possible. Katherine

World Premiere of New Lexus Concept at Paris Motor Show Along with Euro Debut of LS 600h F Sport
http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/09...ncept-car.html
Lexus is planning the world premiere of a never-before-seen concept study at the upcoming 2012 Paris Auto Show, which opens for the press on 27 September and for the public, from September 29 through October 14.
The Japanese automaker, which as you may remember, is also going to show an evolution of the LF-LC Hybrid Sports Coupe Concept at the Australian International Motor Show in late October, said it will reveal more details and possibly the first images of the new study on September 17.
Joining the as-of-yet unnamed prototype at Lexus' Paris Motor Show stand will be the new LS 600h F Sport making its first appearance in western Europe.
We'll update you on Lexus' plans as more information becomes available over the next few days. In the meantime, you can check out our dedicated Paris Motor Show section here.
