I think they overused the aluminum to wood ratio, especially on the driver's side vent
new key and new seat control design is interesting
I think the shifter with the boot is for the F sport

i have to say i am a little underwhelmed by the new interior. and the shift knot is too big, not elegant at all. i guess i was expecting more with all the buzz... and yeah, the event was a joke. it was not a true unvealing, because nobody go to see the vehicle! right now i m just feeling disappointed...
btw, the bamboo and orange leather combination is just hedious imho... roll eyes

Nice looking car. Horrible presentation that was clearly overhyped for a refresh. They tried to do way to much to make it seem like its a totally new vehicle and it showed.
The interior is decent. Nothing ground breaking to me then again, I dont think it is suppose to be. To me its a mix of pre-refresh LS (the door panels are exactly the same), GS, and LX.
I also noticed the loss of the digital speedometer on the 600h model.

Lexus Fully Unveils 2013 LS
At an exclusive event in San Francisco this evening, Lexus has officially unveiled the 2013 LS. The brand’s flagship luxury sedan has stagnated in 2012 in the face of growing competition from both premium and mainstream brands. Multiple refreshes have failed to consistently maintain the sales numbers from the model’s earlier years. Lexus hopes the 2013 LS will revive interest and boost sales.

Wow. This was a letdown. The exterior is nice. Looks great from the front. Everything else is just underwhelming. After 6 years this is not what a all new model should look like. Interior does not look good. Very busy. I am sure in person it will look better than in pictures. But overall not competitive in any way. Even the current S Class is more premium in every way and the new one is just months away from a reveal. I am a Lexus fan but I sure as hell hope this one fails. This is not flagship. I would rather have a GS than the LS.

new LS = bigger GS = new ES. All the cars start running together. Same headlamps, same grille, same taillights, same interior. Glad my 3GS still has a classy look of its own.

Well, judging by themost idiotic looks in this pic, I can definitely see the real customers of high end luxury sedans flee away from the LS. Who wants to be associated with slim and hip hitler with his boy toy Justin Boober?
