Brake Dust
Have a new 2012 LS460AWD. Had a 2010 Lexus previously. Brake dust is really a problem. Take a one hour ride through mixed traffic and the wheels need cleaning. Anyone else have this occur. Is there anything to be done about it or just get different pads? Hoping that once they are used for a few hundred miles it may subside!

entitled " AKEBONO Ceramic Brake Pads - The Who, Why and Where to get them At a GREAT Price !"
You can find it here:

And the Miami store mentioned (The Place For Brakes) will give you an amazingly low price. You might tell them you heard about them from Club Lexus. And lastly, If I can assist you in any way ..... Please just p.m. me.
Please note: I and others cannot stand BLACK BRAKE DUST. So spending $250 for parts and labor to solve this problem, even when replacing almost new pads on a $50K or $90K car, is not a big deal. I and many others have a lot more important things to do in this world besides daily washing our wheels to eliminate black brake dust.

stock and near stock brake pads usually = dust.
i dont think you can break in a pair of brake bads so that the dust decreases, they will always be dusty.
next option would be to go to an aftermarket pad that creates less dust, as someone else already chipped in.
also, your driving/braking habits and contribute to more or less dust. but seeing as how youre in traffic, that means theres a lot of braking and you wont be able to avoid the dust that comes with it.
i have read that some people wax their wheels and this gives them a cleaner look. im sure there are some topical products on the market that you could try
