Claim denied!!
Dealer denied warrant claim on shocks due to car being lowered. I'm wondering if anyone one else has found a dealer near the Baton Rouge area who doesn't have a stick up their behind. I have 58k and the shocks are only good for around 50k anyway! Any help would be appreciated :-)

My extended warranty clearly states struts are not covered. How do I know this..I recently had a bad strut..no dice but I went in knowing it would most likely not be covered..if they did..gravy! New strut is $157 on trademotion pembroke pines website...but, I would try to get in good with a svc advisor and see if they'll hook you up with a warranty repair..if not, you have one option..dealer price directly for a strut is well over $250 last time I dealt with this..so for $157 for oem part..not bad. Good luck

This is the reason I think when I do a drop I am going to go with coilovers because I will essentially get a new set of shocks. Sorry about the drama. I would have always assumed that the dealer would do the work so they can make the money. They know how to screw customers so why not Lexus as well. I have had warranty work done on my car when heavily modded ( G35). They did the work to make the money and make me happy. Sounds like a win win, and how would the manufacturer know anyway??

It's not that I didn't know but it's something that could be done based upon there discretion. Just figured why not get extra money from Lexus if they could.
