Default Aftermarket BMW wheels on a LS460

I found a used set of HRE wheels locally that were on a 2007 BMW 745iL. The car wasn't lowered and the offsets looked pretty weak. I know on the LS they will be aggressive so I will do a test fit tonight to see how much work will need to be done to make these fit. Tires are 255/30 and 295/25. Off sets are unknown but wheels sizes are 22x9 and 22x10.5

Other than hub rings, what else should I be aware of?

I know bmw offset on a 7 series 21" oem wheel is 22mm and ours are 32mm i believe..test fit is crucial. Offset # may be stamped on rear of spokes, so check that. Good luck!!

but offset is useless without width.

telmz1, you should check to see what kind of lug nuts the wheels are drilled for -- the stock lexus mag style nuts may not work on an aftermarket wheel

I'm sure they won't fit the lexus stock wheel lugs (they're huge) so I will bring the slim type that was used on my Wald Mahora's.

Did you have to run spacers on your new wheels to clear the brakes?

no, they clear with maybe 5mm to spare. i was concerned about that before i put them on, too.

i also had to get a new set of range rover lug nuts (the rinspeeds are drilled for range oem nuts) -- they're shaped the same as the oem lexus ones but the shank is longer on the range ones. fml. can't believe i spent $150 on oem lug nuts -_______-

Well I test fitted them and it looks like the front will need at least a 5mm spacer to clear the brakes. The rims are nice and flush with the fenders so it looks like i can get away with a shave. The tires are too fat - it looks like the fronts will need 245/30 and the rear 285/25 or something that will stretch a little more, maybe 265/30? The price is pretty cheap on these HREs but I'm not sure if all the work is worth it... It looked freakin sweet though!

I know that the S class , & series, and LS all run the same staggered tire sizes with 22's but the width of the BMW wheels and Mercedes wheels tend to come at about 0.5" wider than what we would normally see for an LS. Might be a tight fit. Can you test fit them? Or is it out of state?

s550 runs pretty weak offsets, more or less the same as lexus imho. and the funny thing is, for s550 to run staggered 22s, the overall size is actually overspec from factory

7 series and ls460 runs similar tire sizes for 22s, and yes bmw are in general more aggressive on the fitment. a test fit is definitely needed otherwise can have a lot of rubbing problems
