I just mounted this in my GS 350. It's a Ram mount and it bolts to the lower seat bolts. Super strong and it is the same company that makes the cop car mounts. I cut the mount rod so it was just off my console.

RAM Mounts
By no means do I know if the RAM Mount approach is the "best overall solution."
I just thought I'd chime in and let any interested parties know that when RAM builds a product, it is really Kick A** ! ==> http://www.ram-mount.com/
I have used RAM products frequently in bass boats for mounting Fish Finders, cup holders, rod holders, etc. When RAM makes something, it is like bullet-proof. They are never the cheapest solution, but for me, I find their product answers the most satisfying - Long Term.
Once again, I have no affiliation with RAM Mounts, nor am I being compensated for this. They just make Good Stuff.
Best Wishes to all ...............................
And Oh Yeah ! Barbie & I are enjoying our CLEAN WHEELS finally thanks to our newly-installed AKEBONO ceramic brake pads (both front and rear).
Best Wishes to all,

That is the wire from my ML+ that goes to the the interface. It charges the iPad and I have digital sound coming from the iPad to the car. The only way to travel guys. This mount cost me around 90 bucks shipped and it was worth every penny. Like the other guy said, worth every penny.

Nice^^^
Well a quick update, I got the floor mount and when i was trying to install it i realized that there is no bolt ( or at least not where it should be in a normal car) LOL it is more inwards and is pointing towards the front of the car... I will try to post a pic. The only thing that is in my way of mounting it is the main plastic piece right below the cushion which im not sure how to remove... so im stuck at that point...
