What's up ladies and gents! I'm new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently in the market to purchase a 2008/2009 LS460 in the VERY near future once I sell my current 2006 Mercedes CLS500. I used to own a black 1998 GS300 about 3 yrs ago and loved it being that it was a great and reliable car.
Question for you guys? What color option do you think it best? I know personal preference always comes into play but suggestions are always a good thing in my book.
I'm looking currently at a white and burgundy LS460.

Dark colors are much harder to up keep. Black especially, since fine scratches show up easily. If you are willing to properly wash, polish, and wax your car, or willing to pay for professional detailing, then dark color will be fine. Never take your car to a car wash or let the dealer wash your car.
Light color cars, white and silver, are much easier to maintain. Scratches aren't readily visible. On the other hand, light colors just do not pop in terms of shine. A well maintained, shining black or dark red car really looks good and eye catching.
I have silver because I'm obsessed with the finish, but lazy. If I had a black car, it would drive me nuts trying to keep the fine scratches away.

Nothing better than a forum that has members that actually speak! LOL... Thanks for suggestions fellas! I had black before and yeah it was a job +1 to keep it clean. Sucks when you wash it up real nice and somebody splashes your 2 hour clean job! LOL....
@Nash - I'm on board with you on the white color. You rarely see them modded and when you do...boy OH boy!
@RestOfYall - Black is pretty bad *** always! I've seen some great ones in this board already. Makes me say HMMMMMMMMM!

When I was searching it was a toss up between the white and silver ones. I was about to pull the trigger on a white one with the Alabaster interior but it sold before I could look at it. Ended up get silver with gray interior. I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these color combos but it all comes down to personal taste.

I have the burgundy color and I get a lot of compliments on it. It's a very rich color.
Of course the official color name is Noble Spinel Mica. You can get some funny looks when people ask you the color of your new car and you tell them that name!

If you don't want to go completely black my vote (bias) is for Black Sapphire Pearl, it's black at night, dusk, twilight and blue in the day time. I get compliments all the time on the color, another thing I hear a lot is I thought your car was black not blue! My reply well it is black & blue just depends on the lighting. Also I agree keeping a dark color waxed & polished is key to keeping it looking clean, even whe my car is drty it looks clean.
Here a pics when I first got my 460.
