this tint doesn't have any metal in it, so it shouldn't interfere with any electronic signals from inside the car (gps, radio, cell phone, etc). every piece of glass in my car is tinted, including the sunroof and front windshield (ooooo naughty) and i haven't had any issues.
Do you happen to know what % the factory tint is on your LS? I'm wondering the that % plus the 78% of the LLumar Air 80 equals.

Thanks. I'm no expert either. I've been shopping around for tint and someone told me that if you're getting a tint that is close to legal, you need to make sure that the oem tint doesn't take it beyond the legal level. Especially in an area where the authorities are strict. I'd never go that dark so it wouldn't apply.

This is from a tinting thread back in early 2007......

I asked the Lexus Live Chat lady about the uV window glass in the LS460....

Bob: What's the uV A and uV B blocking reduction percentages - and is there also any solar heat rejection percentage?
.......
Sylvia Kim: The UV-A and UV-B blocking rate is approximately 92%. The Infra-Red Blocking reduces IR by up to 73%.
Bob: Excellent - really no need for window tinting.
Sylvia Kim: Do you mind holding for one moment. This is for UV glass.
......
Sylvia Kim: It is approximately 90% for the UV-A and UV-B reduction rate.

charles tint is 100% legal on his front doors. CA limit has a variance of 3% and this film falls within that range.

there isnt a film on the market that is lighter and blocks out as much heat. huper and 3M have similar films but they are a tad darker and block out only 4% more heat. for charles it wasnt worth looking tinted for 4% more heat rejection.

thanks norman, help me out with all the questions hahaha.

for anyone who wants tint, norman is the man, especially on the USF40/UVF46 -- not many other shops will touch this car since it's notorious for being difficult to work with.

Sound slike a product that is similar to the huber optic but this is way to light for me. It doesnt even look like the windows are tinted unless thats what you wanted. The glass already has UV coating on it already
