CPO car NOT??????????????WTF
Wow...what a day...got a flat tire today on my LS,so i decide to call Lexus roadside so someone can come out and put on my spare.
Anyways...they tell me my car is not covered under warranty any longer,i'm like my warranty is good till April 2013..as my car is CPO and was purchased from the dealership...she goes your cars manufacturer warranty expired in Feb 2011...she calls Lexus USA and they confirm that my car is not CPO...now im pissed...the women from Roadside was great by the way...we conference a call to the dealership where the car was bought and try to track down my salesman,hes no longer with the company...I speak to the business office and they are like there is nothing they can do at this point...I call Lexus USA customer service....they have escalated my case and am expecting a call in 3-5 business days from a case specialist..

yeah, if you have the paperwork, then it was probably just a filing issue, so have them resubmit and get you on a CPO. If it's "too late" for corp. to allow the CPO filing, then have the dealership get you an aftermarket with the same terms.
If all else fails, then advise them that you plan to a) return the car for a refund, including sales tax (- a reasonable amount for use) or b) sue them, including legal fees and damages as a result of fraud.
The CPO was an intrinsic part of the sale, it's absence constitutes the lack of a fulfillment of their part of the contract, thereby the contract was void.
Either way, I see thing working out just fine for you.

There is a CPO certified sticker on the inside of your drivers door jam, that the dealership is required to place there upon certification. They also give you a roadside assistance card that specifies that your vehicle is covered as CPO. The card has the start date, but they can easily deduce if your 3 years or 100,000 into it...
For roadside assitance they usually use the card, but they can also just use the information on the sticker in your door jam, if ... indeed you have one and the dealership did certify this CPO. If its on your paperwork, you certainly have a case.
Also if you were out of pocket for this service they are supposed to reimburse you if they cant provide the service. I am hopeful that Lexus Corp will take care of this in short order. The dealership should have been all over this!

If that was the case, Lexus will straighten it out. In fact if I was you I'd press them to start the warranty now, since technically they did not have you covered the last year as evidenced by you had to pay for your own roadside assistance.

The CPO warranty is a bit tricky. Most Lexus dealership will CPO their used lexuses and put the sticker on the driver's door jamm. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have the extended warranty. If the car was manu. in 2007, naturally, the warranty will expire in 2011. Now if you have purchased the EXTENDED WARRANTY, here's the tricky part. If it's a 72-month or 100,000 miles, that means you will have to 2013 counting from the manu. date, NOT by the date that you bought the car.
Just because it's CPO, it doesn't mean you automatically entitled to it. You HAVE to purchase it separately.

not sure I am following this, if a car on an authorized lot is CPO and you purchase it, they roll in the cost of the CPO. At the time that I bought mine there were some that were CPO and some that were not. I have never heard of a dealer selling a CPO vehicle but then not honoring it, not sure how that works, as Lexus' terms and conditions are pretty clear and why they back it if the dealership is authorized.

It seems that 2007 model warranty is expired. CPO is just a technical term Lexus dealerships use to certified the car, not necessarily mean it gives you the extended warranty.

A "CPO" vehicle sitting on the lot means that it has been through the checks and qualifies to be sold as a CPO, however my understanding is that the dealership does not purchase the warranty from Lexus until the car is sold, and that that can become a bargaining chip. I had two different dealerships offering me CPO vehicles without the warranty for an added discount ... just a guess that this may be what happened if your paperwork does not properly document the warranty. Hope all works out for you.

I have had three Lexus CPO and they all came with the CPO warranty included in the price. I leased a 2000 RX300 when I turned it in I inquired about buying it back CPO my cost was the inspection and any parts needed due to normal wear and tear. I wound up paying the lease buyout and the inspection fee that was it. The fee was about $250 then.

If they advertise it as CPO then Lexus has to back it from the date of sale for 3 years or up to 100,000 miles, which ever occurs first. The dealer does pay for the service, if they make money on it or not is up to them. This inspection happens up front before you even buy the car , if your dealer is shady and chooses to not send in the paperwork then I guess we could get into this situation. I am not a CPO expert, but I did spend a fair amount of time researching this when I decided to purchase mine. I will be curious to see how this plays out for Manny735, I think he has a strong case and am hopeful its just a clerical error.
