Default intro thread: new to me ls600hl

hey all,
i've been a long time nissan guy (s13 240sx, then a y33-chassis q45), but i've now switched sides, to a verdigris mica/alabaster 2008 ls600hl with the 4-seat executive package.

just wanted to say hi!

i know this thread is missing photos -- i will post some tomorrow after i bust out the camera.

so far, i'm loving it. the car's quiet and is surprisingly quick. this thing dwarfs everything else parked in the garage (it barely fits. thank god for parking sensors and the backup camera haha).

future plans are 21x10.5, 21x12's, BBK, lowering of some sort (trying to figure out coilovers for this thing), possibly the mode parfume aerokit, and some sort of camber/toe adjustability -- my previous cars were known for being a little on the wild side, alignment-wise, and i'd like to keep the tradition alive. i have a reputation to uphold

since i have no idea about anything lexus, i'm sure i'll have tons of inane questions.

thanks in advance for putting up with me!

charles

congrats on the car, definitely look forward to seeing the pics

seems like you will be on the brave side on the mods, that's going to be very interesting. lowering? you already have factory air suspension, why change to coilovers?

ah, factory or aftermarket air's not stiff enough for the height i want to drive at

thanks for the welcome, all. i'll have photos tonight -- i snapped off a few this morning before dropping her off at the dealer for some easy due bill and techstream personalized setting stuff.

got a couple quotes for that kit, waiting for the yen to calm down or for the dollar to stabilize a bit to decide which kit to pull the trigger on. i'm between a couple others, but ordered rims back in december.

I ordered a set of 22" Weds Kranze Bazreia (Chrome). Not sure why Weds doesn't allow pad settings for wheels in 22, but I figured since I live in So Cal, if the wheels don't fit my need, I'll be hitting up Ralph for a fix.

Yeah, per 3T Motorsports (a vendor here), I inquired about the Aimgain kit as well, last I remember they told me their kit only fit the newer body style. I'm basically between K-Break/Mode Parfume when it comes to the kit, but it's hard to decide when your dollar isn't with *****.

i have a set of these sitting in boxes right now, but the current spec is something like 20x8.5 +38 20x9.5 +50 haha. they need a rebarrel and a hub drill/sleeve
