Not sure what the MB has but the LS does. I had my car for about 3 months before I was in a real dark spot one night and noticed that there is a light glare on the center console. I raised my hand from the light up to where the glasses holder is and there were 2 small holes with lights coming from there. I also noticed this on the RX but there's only 1 light.

As I answered on the other forum where you asked the same question:
I agree the interior lighting is underwhelming, as is the trunk. What I've done is to stash one of those small 9-LED flashlights in the overhead glasses pocket. I have a thin piece of foam around it to keep it from rattling.

There's a pretty decent amount, enough to keep things classy but not as much as other makes. Off the top of my head, there's footwell lights in the front and back, two LEDs mounted centrally overhead, the door handle cups have lights, and there's lights in thoughtful places like the seatbelt latches and interior compartments.
My friend recently purchased a Buick LaCrosse, and there's ambient lighting overkill in that cabin IMO.
