Removing "Lexus" From the Deck Lid
Just wondering if anyone has, or is planning to remove the Lexus name from the deck lid, since it's an easy way to update the look to a 2011. Can the letters be removed with the hair dryer / dental floss technique?

Thanks, Henry. I'm going to try it. I'm sure there's no difference in how the Lexus name was stuck on from '07 to '10, but if there is, I'll report back.

Mission accomplished. The dental floss worked, with just a little glue left to remove. Some wax took care of the residue. That completes all the customizing my car will get. Hope I didn't void the warranty.

Delete Lexus
Do I understand you to be saying that an 08 would look identical to a 2011 LS460 if one merely removed the word Lexus from the trunk lid. Is that really the only exterior difference? Does the 2011 have any other identifying characteristics externally?

reason i said that is, on some other lexus, for example 3rd gen gs. the lexus badge actually has holes at the back on the trunk lid to help align the badge, so if you just take off the badge, there will be holes. on my 07, i took it off easy and no holes, but i have no idea if they added holes for 08-10

No holes, just glue. I didn't use a hair dryer, but I think if I did it again, I would. The glue was a little hard and made it more difficult to pull the dental floss through. I'm half way thinking about taking off the LS460. With no stick-ons, it's easier to wax and the rear has a cleaner look (IMO).
