Default Interior Lights

I want to replace all the interior lights including dome, doors, trunk, etc with superwhite LED. Where can I buy these bulbs?

I started by reviewing the manual and then matched them up to bulbs that appealed to me. I can tell you the variety is large so yu can really tune the whiteness and brightness to your taste, but it's a world of difference to the dim, yellow bulbs that came from the factory

old bulbs are long gone so I dont have the factories to compare them to. I can tell you the 1 watt LEDs for the doors are about 4x brighter and use a fraction of the power of the original ones. If you pop them out you will see what bulb them are, just pay attention to the festoons (torpedo shaped ones) and the trunk has two, but you can get away with multi element on all of them.

Maps in front there are a couple of small screws towards the front under the glasses holder and then it just pulls down with some force. the bulbs come up out of the top, with a twist cap. Its very simple once you see it.

The door elements all pop out towards you and its a plastic clip, I removed in the inner holder piece and just put in a larger bulb to get more light.
These T-10s work nice and they fit in the door if you remove the inner clip, https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16097

The back seat just comes down with a small screwdriver and I used a festoon with a multi element in it, I believe it was a 2 watt which for an LED is very bright.

The trunk has two, same bulb, one in the lid and one under the lid. I just drilled a small hole and bought a larger and longer multi element but I could have used one just tad shorter and not drilled the hole. huge difference in the trunk as the factory ones were almost worthless, but the LEDs are like daytime.

In total I replaced nine and bought a few different flavors to try as these bulbs ship from Hong Kong so its about 7 days or so before you get them.

I can take pics, but honestly your not going to see the difference if I dont have the factory ones still and the experience would not do the bulb justice in a small pict. They are inexpensive enough, just match them up with the pics on dealextreme and your good to go, just pay attention to the size closely, some led elements look larger then they really are. If you have any specific questions just PM me and I can give you some reference links etc.

once more item, the interior timer to turn the lights off wants a filament, and it gradually turns off the power so they fade out. LEDs are either on or off, so your dimmer just goes off pretty quick after the timer kicks in. Not a big deal for me, but you do lose some of the visual when you lock your car at night
