yeah, forget about it. completely new and different system. unless you want to swap out your whole head units (13k), then "maybe" it will work (read: not worth it)

Hi all,

I'm contemplating the vaistech unit as well as the PS unit. I assume I will need both in order to:

1. Plug my iPod into the car and control it via the ML/Nav screen and steering wheel controls
2. Be able to control my iPod while driving
3. Be able to use Nav, Phone, and have DVD playback, etc. while driving

In looking at the Vaistech site, I'm unsure as to the correct model for this use. Is it the SLi or SL2i-UP? In reading some forum posts, I can't get the SL2Vi because I have ML, correct?

Thanks again!

Jack

Oops...found a related post. Looks like SL2i-UP is the way to go, along with PS.

If anyone has a good installer in the South Florida area, please PM me! I'm planning on ordering both units (unless I'm way off and someone corrects me) tomorrow...

Thanks for all the help!

Jack

if you just want audio, sl2i-up is the way to go. there is no sl2vi for your car since you have ml

maybe you can check with ps on the installer too. i don't know exactly, but i am not surprised if they have installer in FL area

Definitely not worth it but its stupid that they cant incorporate features like street names into our systems. Its all software driven. Lame.
