Default Tires

I have an 08 600h and I recently changed tires out from Bridgestone Turenza's to the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus. Loving them so far. Nice road grip and quiet.

Bridgestone turanza's are good tires but they run out pretty quick. I think they are not suitable for the hot weather over here (105F +). I think the next choice would be a michellin summer tires.

And I don't own this car but my dad does. So it's all his inputs, not mine.
I'm happy with Dunlop Sport Maxx on my LS600hL. The load index is correct but it is 265/30 ZR22 all around with Vossen rims.

Decide your self.
I also recently got the Continental Pure Contact with EcoPlus Technology for my LS. My last tires were Pirelli P Zero Nero. I was very happy with those tires as they were rated both by Tire Rack and Consumer Reports as the tops in wet traction, which is important to me. However the latest ratings dropped the Pirellis from #1. So I "bought" the Continental hype and sprung for the new EcoPlus Technology. I've had the tires for about 8000 miles and so far so good. They are not quite as good in wet handling, but they are definitely quitter than the Pirellis.

I bought the Bridgestone Serenity Plus for my wife's Jag in April and they seem to be a pretty good tire, but I hardly ever drive her car.

Same situation here.

Just switched to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. I really liked the Pirelli tires but I prefer the Michelin tires - and they seem quieter.

Look into the Yokohama YK series.... similar construction to the Michelin but less expensive. If you like the Michelins, stick to what you know.... Depending on where you are the Continental DWS is a true all-season tire (snow/Ice.)

I switched to Michelins, my Turanza's went in 28,000 miles. Switched to Michelins, they drive much better and appear to be a better tire. I got mine at Discount Tire in Houston. Four for $1100.00 with all the bells and whistles.

Just took off new Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires (235/50/18) and installed new Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 tires in the same size.

The Pilots are much quieter than the Primacy to the tune of about 3 to 4 DB at 70 MPH on the same road according to my decibel measurements. But the real benefit is eliminating the awful and irritating hum between 40 MPH and 80 MPH.

I am amazed how different the cars drives with each set of tires. The Pilot HX MXM4's are much more stable and have less drift when going straight. The car feels planted to the road and has a little stiffer ride. The Primacy tires give the LS a much lighter feel, sort of a floating feel and easier turns of the wheel. Not a bad feel, but much different. Both are the same in terms of grippyness.

Car: 2011 LS460L with backseat upgrade.
Current Rubber: Bridgestone 235/50-18 EL42s ready to be replaced after only 25K miles (tires wearing on the inner edges, rest of the tread is fine). Also, pulling a little to the right.
Priorities: Quiet. Soft and smooth.

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity or Michelin Pilot HX MXM4? 235/50-18?

Interesting...... I have the Pilot HX MXM4 tires worn down to about 50% and they have that same awful road drone. Mostly from about 60-75mph. Hopefully yours won't do the same as they wear.

I've always liked Michelin tires but not impressed with these (noise wise) so far.

Pilot HX MXM4's!

The primacy's were quiet enough, but dumped them because of the wet traction was not near as good.
