Default What kind of brake fluid is everyone using?

Getting ready to do the 30,000 service on my LS. Last thing to buy on my list is brake fluid. Just curious as to what everyone was using and if anybody out there was using any synthetic brands?

Thanks

Sorry don't have an answer for you, but was curious if you would change the coolant?

You may want to think twice about doing this yourself. It is quite an involved procedure that requires a scan tool. The brake actuator and accumulator have to be controlled a certain way to properly flush. If this isn't done you could create problems.

not necessarily. when installing my brembo we didn't have to use any scan tool and such, as long as it's done correctly

but i agree definitely be very careful, if not done right, then it will trigger error code in the computer (and on screen), and your brakes can get into error mode and you will need tool to reset it

happened to someone in the 3gs forum already

Thanks for the heads up guys. I wasnt going to do the brake flush myself, I just wanted to see if anybody recommended a particular type of brake fluid so I can get it ahead of time.

Thanks guys!

for stock brakes, imho, i wouldn't worry too much about the fluid choice. i have a feeling generic one is good enough
