I got some 21's for my 07 LS460.

I still have the Tanabe NF210 in the garage. So I am on stock springs/struts, no OEM air suspension on my car.

My question is will I need to remove the inner fender liner when I put on the Tanabe springs?

I am not talking about the rolling the lip on the fender or shaving the lip on the fender or pulling the fender. The wheels are not hitting the lip on the fender.

There is so much suspension travel on this car that when I make a right turn pull into gas station, the right rear compresses and you can hear it rub the inner fender linder at the top of the tire.

It could be something to do with the fact that I am running a 295/25/21 in the rear and the shear width wasn't accomodated for. So basically I have enough offset to clear the lip of the fender to accomodate the suspension travel but too much meat on the tire and it rubs the inner fender liner at the top of the tire..

I understand that when I put on the Tanabe NF210 it will lower the car a little and springs will be stiffer and not travel (compress) as much and this could all go away but my question is:

Has anybody else removed their inner fender liner when they lowered their car to slam it (VIP look) or is it even advisable to even remove the fender liner at all?

Mind you, I don't want the slammed (VIP look), I want something driveable on the streets of LA with only a slight tastefull drop. Nothing outrageous. I have a WALD body kit on the car that gives the illusion of lowering the car, so I went with the NF210 to only drop it a little and still keep a relatively stock ride.

i don't know how or if it's possible to remove the fender lining, but seems like it's pretty well covered

i think it might have to do with the offsets. i also had 295 (22s) and i never had the kind of rubbing you experiencing. but then again my offsets were aggressive

I don't have the answer about fenders but I can share my setup with NF210 on 21s.
Front 9, et32 - 245/35-21
Rear 10.5, et36 - 285/30-21
No rubbing

i think the rear et is 25 so that maybe the cause, if I can shave it down 10mm to 35 then i should be better..

even though you have a taller sidewall height in the rear, can you PM me some pix so I can get an idea of what it should look like after I install the NF210....

I have the Tanabe springs with 22x9/22x11 and running a 265/305 combo with zero rubbing. It all has to do with running the appropriate offsets. Not even when I have 3 grown adults in the rear does it rub. All fender liners intact.
My dealer installed my springs so I have no idea what is involved. I know it took my tech about 5.5 hrs since mine was the 1st one to get done at the dealer.

In my opinion the care feels better with the springs vs oem. The handling is much better imo.

OK guys I am convinced. I need to machine off about 7-10mm off the inner face of the wheel where the wheel mounts and contacts the rotors. That should get me back to an offset of 32-35mm.
