Just wanted to post after hitting the 1k mile mark after almost a month.

Couple of questions - when I am backing out of the garage in the am the brakes squeel/sqeek for 2 or 3 pushes of the pedal and then stops - is that due to the type of brake and the cold in Mass. or am I missing something? This is the only time I hear the noise. Was wondering if anyone else experiences this.

Front floor mat hooks - for a $75k car i would think these would be better - anone else have issues with theirs in an LS unhooking (both the mat coming loose and the clip actually pulling out of the spot in the floor) when getting out of the car?

I am bringing her in Monday for the 1k checkup and will have them look into these.

Other than these it is an awesome drive. I can't believe i waited this long to get an LS.

1) probably just the cold. i didn't have any problem on the brakes

2) that's weird, on my 07 the hooks worked very well

clips are inexpensive and I replace mine when they get loose. They are easy to put in and take out and you can get a bag of 10 or 25 on EBay for about .25 cents each. Yours the dealer will just replace, probably, but they should fit tight and not allow the carpet to move.

So after 5 years of my 2010 I decided it was time for a change. The 10' had suspension issues that were always taken care of by warranty but in the end 9 times for just suspension issues and $18k in warranty repairs it was time to move on. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty.

2014 AWD w/ ML system / BSM / dynamic cruise w/ pre-collision/the 19" high gloss wheels/and several other goodie options as well is now in the garage Same Starfire Pearl but black interior this time around. I had been considering moving on from Lexus to Audi after driving the A8/A6's. They were not bad but a very different drive that I was used to. I will write the suspension issues off as a 2010 fluke and continue to believe Lexus has the best quality in this class.

In the end the deal was too good to pass up. They had been sitting on this car for 10 months. MSRP $84k got it done for $70k and got KBB full value on the 10’ with 77k miles/the suspension issues and the 1 fender bender.

Now I am awaiting the clear bra which I am going to do a full hood/fenders/nose/mirrors I think this time rather than the partial. Maybe will also do some very slight tint to help with the black interior. Will post some pics next week. Love being on this forum. When I was thinking of an Audi I joined that forum asking questions and not one person ever responded in a month. Ah well!

Very nice, congratulations! Looking forward to seeing pictures!

For what it's worth, if you are open to recommendations for clear bra, I'd be happy to share the information for the shop I go to. I used to have the dealer's vendor do it, until I met this gentleman who is just about as ****-retentive about cars as I am. He uses Xpel Ultimate film, which is supposed to be the best out there at the moment (self-healing, among other things). At this point, he's been doing our cars since 2007.

(I'm in MA too, BTW.)

Who are you planning to use for the clear bra install?

So here are a couple of pics of the replacement for my 2010 LS.

I really like the black interior with the tiger striped wood look as it is such a contrast to the cashmere I had in the 10'. I also think the 19" wheels make a big difference in looks over the 18". Love the first 700 miles and I will admit the Levinson in the 14' sounds way better than the 10'.

I had the entire front of the car done with Nano Fusion film versus the partial as I drive the hi-ways a bit and felt this would be better coverage.

Glad I stayed with Lexus but I will admit the Bang & Olufson sound system in the A8 I almost bought was insane sounding!

Bad thing now is the darn snow -I have to move south!

Looking forward to another 5 years of LS ownership.
