I doubt they would do this immediately. But it Wouldnt surpise me if the eventually had to do it. I just bought a new '09 for INV Price. It was the 73K car. Bought it for $64,850. Credit union also gave me a great 4.54 rate too after LFS tried to sucker me into a 6.75

Default V6 ???

A few months back there were rumors that Lexus was thinking about dropping the 3.5 V6 into the LS for better fuel economy. That would explain the $9K price drop (about the difference between a GS350 & GS460) !!! Of course it would no longer be an LS460, but an LS350

They won't replace the LS460 with a LS350, the *may* add the 350 in the future ... and I won't believe they will drop the price for the LS460/600 unless they officially announce it, the Yen is so high now that it's already eating into their profits at the old prices ...

I agree. You need to needle him into an admission of ignorance and for an apology. Unfortunately it' won't save you $9K that you hoped you get (versus 2009 prices).

Not your fault. Sometimes they just talk to hear themselves talk.

Interesting that the price on the L was reduced.

I wonder what they dropped from the L models in order to reduce the MSRP by $3500?

Maybe its only 4" longer rather than 5".

They probably dropped some standard equipment from the L model & make them options instead, thus a lower base price ...

he probably meant 9k total off MSRP of 2009 price for 2010, if that makes sense...

example
2009 LS 460 L RWD MSRP $73,735 - $9,000 = $64,735 selling price for 2010!!!
these salesmen always try to trick u...

"$70,225 -$3,510 -4.8%"

So, Mike TX, did you confront your salesman? Did he fully fess up, grovel and offer you a car at $9000 below 2009 prices? What was the end reconciliation result with the salesman?
