93 octane, nothing else... It was designed for premium and thats all that should go in there... Its an LS460 not a Corolla...

I'm sorry, and no disrespect directly intended, but I call Major Beee-ESSS on that. Regardless of what octane you are using, you are not getting 618.x MPT in this car period! And especially not doing and avg of 88mph.

Well I take that back, Is the car completely gutted and are you on some type of magic carpet? If so, it could be possible.

I can only get 91 octane here in California. I made a mistake the other day and put in 87 octane, I didn't really notice a difference while driving. In my old toyota I could tell when I use 87 octane, little slower and knocking noises from the engine.

I'm with the others on wondering about your math being funny, it just does not add up how you are getting that kind of production. The average for our 22.2 gal car is over 400 + miles on a tank straight hwy, A/C, premium gas and driving at 70-80 mph with the cruise control on. I do a lot of road trips, my car is in great shape down to wheel alignment and tires and know how to squeeze out some good MPG’s and you are getting 600 + is amazing sir! You have me wondering why is your LS460 more special than ours.

600 miles into 22.2 gallons is 27 mpg. This car is capable of that if your not running up and dont mountains. I got a tad over 27 a few months back going to Palm Springs which is a very flat drive from where I am in So Cal. I dont know about the speed and environment that Shibumi1 used, but I could see getting mid to high 20's under the right conditions is possible and the wind at your back :-)
