I just received a flyer in the mail for the 9.1 update, cost $199. The flyer has a Torrence, CA return address and I live in PA, so I assume it's Lexus Corporate advertisement.
Can anyone list the changes in 9.1? For $199, they are now getting close to my trip point for updating my 2007 LS

I just received the same in the mail.
Although not very specific on changes it says over six million miles of road and roughly 8 million points of interest, including ATMs, restaurants, hotels and gas stations.
Over 120 expanded cities or metropolitan areas.
I have an 07 as well but will wait at least another year to update mine.

The flyer I received has an asterisk after the $199*
Disks are useless in North America for the LS460/600. Updates are done via the USB port located under the dash to the right of the steering stalk. As mentioned before, the dealer purchases a USB key from Lexus which unlocks the Navi files that dealers download from Lexus. This software key can only be used once, and they turn around and charge the owner, or in some cases have been known to do this as a courtesy either from themselves or Lexus direct. Yes there are DVDs available on Ebay etc..., but these are for cars that use a DVD based Navi, such as other Lexus models. As mentioned previously, some other countries use this DVD based Navi system for the LS460/600.
