How Common is Radar/Laser/Active Cruise and How to Tell?
Looking for a 2007 460 and want one with the laser/radar/active (whichever it's called). How common is this feature?
If I'm not mistaken, the way to tell is the front Lexus emblem will be plastic/glass shield as opposed to metal. However, in looking around, I see even the most loaded 460L's with the metal logo. I suspect that the glass shield may actually be a 600hl item since it has the blue halo from pics I've seen on another thread.
What's the deal with this? I wish they would have just carried over the Ultra package so you know exactly what you're getting!

i am not sure how common it is on the ls460 swb. on the lwb i think it's more common especially on the ones with rear seats upgrade
you are right, if it has the laser/radar (i can never figure it out) cruise control, the front emblem will have the plastic/glass cover to protect the equipment
maybe it's regional? i am not sure

I can tell you that Lexus did not ship Radar CC (part of the Pre-CollisionSystem option)cars to any snowbelt states. I was told the reason was snow and/or ice accumulating on the radar unit behind the plastic emblem could obstruct the system.
I had to order my car because no car with radar cc could be found anywhere in the northeast. So they are probably very rare, but keep searching. As I mentioned in another thread, I would never buy another car without the Pre-Collision System.
