Default LS 600 wheels on a LS 460?

Would it be correct to assume the LS 600 wheels would fit the 460? If so, what would I expect to pay?

Thanks.

Yes they will fit, & the last time I heard, the 19" 8-spokes "take-off" wheels from 600hL can be purchased from Sewell Lexus for $1200 or so, try checking with them.

When I was on the Lexus website they showed them as 18" , unless I was looking at the wrong info. ???

For the LS600hL, you get the 19" stock wheels as standard unless it's the Executive Package, when you get the stock 18", same as those for the LS460.

They put 18's on the 600hL Executive Package supposedly for the smoother ride for "executives"(many chauffer-driven supposedly) who will likely appreciate that more(that's the reason they officially give ...).

I asked a dealer about switching out the wheels and here is how he responded... True?

"I know we can fit the wheels off of a 600h on to a RWD LS, the only thing is that the Self Park feature will not operate correctly. It is configured using 18' tires and not the 19' tires. This may not be an issue for you if you do not plan on using it."

no..... very much NOT true...... the 600hl and the 460 both have 18s/19s options, and fwiw their tire sizes are the same and overall diameter also the same. when using the self park feature, how would that make any difference.......

and to top if off, my ls460l was lowered, with 22x9.5 and 22x10.5 wheels, and the self park still worked flawlessly on my car (not that i really used it)

I didn't think so, and so typical of what these salespeople don't know. This guy is Internet Manage from Sewell Lexus of Dallas.

Just to add to rominl's post, the 18" wheels have 235/50R18 tires and their outside tire diameters are 27.3''. The 19" wheels on the other hand have 245/45R19 tires and their outside diameters are 27.7''. That 0.4" difference in diameter represents an increase in distance of 1.25” per turn at the wheel (0.4" x pi), not enough to result in a significant error when using APGS as the distance traveled rarely exceeds twenty feet. Any further, and the APGS won't work.

I never put much faith in most staff at car dealerships, because the bravado in there is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. Add to that the gossip, the rumor mills, the "holier-than-thou-dumb-customer" attitudes, and the jock mentality, and it becomes hard to separate reality from fiction in that morass.

I use APGS a lot, with 19s for now, but if I decide to strap on some winter tires in the future, they will be 18s, with no hesitation whatsoever.
