Brake Hold Problem - Rarely, brake hold not getting released with accelarator -
PROBLEM SOLVED BY DEALER..
I have a 2007 ls 460L (touring option). I have the following problem. Even the dealer is unable to fix because they cant get it to repeat. In the past 3 months, the problem occured 3 times. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced it.
1. Place the car on brake hold (say at a traffic light) but NOT long enough for the automatic park to come on (the automatic park will come on if the brake hold is left on for extended time period - i dont recall how long - but when it does, the Park brake on red light will light up).
2. When i accelerate, the brake hold does not get released. I get a message "Brake hold system trouble. Contact dealer" - i don't recall exact message but something to that effect is displayed on the speedometer console.
3 putting it in park and back in drive does not release brake hold. I had to turn the car off and then on to get the car to move.
has anyone else experienced this problem?
THE DEALER FOUND A RECALL NOTICE ON THIS. THE NOTICE SAYS THAT THE FIX IS OFFERED ONLY FOR THOSE WHO COMPLAIN OF THIS PROBLEM. IT AFFECTS ONLY SOME 2007 LS 460 MODELS
