Default Is this a good deal?

Hey guys this is my first time posting and was wondering if you guys can help me out. I'm from Illinois and I have have been looking at a LS460 SWB. The MSRP for the car is 74,847 and the invoice price is 65,282. I have talked to the sales manager and he is willing to sell it for 66,282. I'm looking to buy the car and take out a loan from the dealer. The thing is the intrest is going to be around 6% and I have a pretty good credit score. Is this a good deal? Thanks in advance.

welcome to CL

in terms of the price of the car i think 1k over invoice is pretty good. the interest rate i am not sure, with the current economy it sounds a bit high, but i don't know if dealerships have specials now

I purchased my SWB back on 3/1 and was able to get 4.99 financing. Luckily I had secured this rate through my credit union before negotiating for the car. When it came time to meet with the finance guy, I asked him to beat it. He said he couldn't beat it, but would match it. Since I purchased my car about 60 miles from home, I decided to take their financing just for the convenience of it alone. It's not through Lexus Financial. It's through Chase Bank.

Hope this helps.

1k over with 4.99% finance is great deal, IMO...

I thought a Loaded LS460 SWB was $72,700 Did the dealer add any options to make the price higher?

If the car comes with chrome wheels and premium floor mats, the MSRP of $74,847 sounds about right.

If no chrome wheels or premium floor mats you should be able to drive out the door for $66k.

I paid $67k including TT&L last November. The market's softer now.
My options included: Mark Levinson w/ Adv Park Guidance, Lexus Link, Intuitive Parking Assist, Power Trunk, Comfort Package, Premium Floor Mats and Preferred Accessory Package.

Lexus codes are: MZ, NP, PA, PP-1, , CP, PF, Z1

I chose not to get Dealer Chrome Wheels

Continue your homework and Good Luck!

I don't have: rear power seats with memory, power headrests or rear side airbags -- so if these options are worth $2,000.00 of the MSRP -- go for it.
You should be able to drive out the door for under $68k.

Good Luck.
