Dealer told me that there is a single standard configuration of the 08 460L....$82k msrp, touring model, unless I special order. True?

Um...not sure about that because the Touring model is fairly rare, of the LS 460Ls that I've seen...fact is I've only seen 5 Touring models at most and many more 460Ls total. However whether that's the case for 2008...

That was not true of the 2007 model year. I find it hard to believe its standard, but then if a salesperson told you, it must be true.

do you have a second salesperson or dealership to to go? the sales apparent has no idea what he's talking about

unless there is something new, touring is RARE. a lot of them are lwb with less or more options. only a few of them are touring (just look for the 19" wheels)

and for 2007, touring car was 79k. i don't know what they can add to the car to make it 82k? the lwb without touring and some extra is also msrp 79k, so you have to look at the wheels to distinguish them. the more loaded lwb (not with exec) is msrp around 85-86k.

What's in the touring model and how do you know if you have it? My MSRP was 86k but it doesnt have the executive option. Will it say it on the sticker?

air suspension is available on a lot of other lwb as well, so that might not be obvious. if you are just looking at the car itself, if it comes with 19" factory wheels (5 spoke), likely it's touring. also touring has larger brake rotors, but also hard to "determine"

jason, your car msrp is 85k, that means you don't have touring. it's just the lwb with rear seat upgrades, etc... similar to my car. touring car is 79k (it does not have the option of rear seat upgrades)

it should say on the sticker (touring package)

"touring suspension" WITH LR (rear seats upgrade)? now if you can REALLY get that, that's a first. at least on 07, it was not possible, and that's why i don't have touring. maybe they changed it for 08 i don't know, but i wonder what's missing in #2 that it's cheaper than the 86k car. pre-collision? it's not 3k

I would consider that if they make it available up here, but they don't even for 2008.

Ya I dont have the touring package, no 19" wheels waste of money if your going to change the wheels anyways (changed to 22") MSRP is 86,012k and your right it has the upgraded back seats with fridge and heated and cooled seats with there own controls in the back, also rear seats recline. It also has the air susp. and ML stereo ect.

OK I got a fax and call from the sales guy, and it looks like some of the info in the ealier post was wrong....he says someone input option codes incorrectly on the computer. The fax shows Nov production for the 'eastern region' LS460L. No LR.

Total units 92:

44 units with MH MZ PA, MSRP 76,422

23 units with AN LL MH MZ PA PI, MSRP 82,?87 (couldn't make it out on the fax)

25 units special ordered

So I think the $82k is actually air suspension, not touring suspension.
