I understand the feeling you have about buying new.
I use to only buy new and would keep it till the next new thing.
However, after seeing the depreciation that my Lexus and my Mercedes was taking, I am seriously thinking about buying slightly used.
Cars are made so much better now that they can last well over 100,000 miles and I personally would rather use the money saved toward an investment that will give me some returns.
I will always have at least 1 new car in the stable but for daily drivers, getting a nicely used vehicle is not a bad idea.

and especially with lexus, 3 yrs and say even with 40k miles, it's still going to be rock solid and run like new
