Default Trying to find invoice pricing on a swb & lwb ls460..

Guys, I am looking to purchase a ls460l touring in the next month or so. I picked up a ls460 swb already. I however don't really trust the dealer, i got it from. I am still hearing about how in demand these cras are and no discounts. I would really like to know the invoice pricing on all of the ls460's, to make my decision. Any help would really be appreciated.

Check out MSN Autos (autos.msn.com) or Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) and they list invoice prices of both base models as well as their options.

Good luck!

While knowing the invoice price might be interesting, and generally it's 24% off MSRP, I'm not sure how it would help you make a better deal from the dealer, given the great demand for the car. If they don't sell it to you, they'll sell it to someone else.

2007 Lexus LS 460
4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 8A)
National Base Price (excludes destination charge)
A note about advertising fees MSRP$61,000 Invoice $53,070

2007 Lexus LS 460L
4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 8A)
National Base Price (excludes destination charge)
A note about advertising fees MSRP $71,000 Invoice $61,770

Mark-up is about 12-15% depending on options... NOT 24% markup! That's CRAZY TALK!!!

Try another dealer. You can look up invoice on Edmunds, but I don't think any dealers are selling even close to invoice. My dealer took off $1K from MSRP when it first came out. Oh, I forget, they threw in a set of all weather floor mats as well...

The LS 460 is not in limited supply like it was when it first came out on the market...

Shop around!

Sorry, but I'm not giving the dealer $10k in profit for the car. They can come down in price or off to another dealer or brand, if I have to!

Oh sure, let the dealership owner have his kids go hungry and have to walk barefoot in the snow. Have you no compassion for the poor man and his family?

Oops, sorry, meant to type 14%, not 24%. They also get a holdback amount from Lexus, but I'm not sure how much that amounts to.

The lot that I visited this afternoon had at least six LSes on the property and this is a small dealer. I don't think that they're selling like hotcakes. Besides, why would you assume that you're going to pay retail? Why not assume that you're going to get it below cost, and work from there?

As Woody Allen once said, the worst sin in his family was to pay retail.

Holdback on the LS 460 is $1220, and on the 460L its $1420.

Mass, which dealer did you go to?

Masshelti,

I'm not assuming anything. If you can get the car below MSRP, by all means do so.

Hello,

This is my first time posting. Today I picked up a LS460L w/Touring + Levinson. White / Cashmere, 50 miles on the odometer. I don't have the greatest of negotiating skills, but I was able to bring the $79K MSRP down to $73.5. I also opted to buy the Chrome Wheels, which they price at $2K, but I got them to knock off $500. Total price: 75K even with the wheel upgrade. Don't know if I got "taken", but I feel pretty good. The car is awesome! It is a pleasure to drive.

I paid 1500.00 for my chrome wheel swap. You would have paid too much at 2000.00. I don't know if I got a great deal on the wheels...

Welcome to the forum!

Craig
